Today we had a relatively short drive from Ingham to the beautiful little town of Millaa Millaa located in the south of the Atherton Tablelands. We didn’t leave too early but this was because we intended to stop at the coastal town of Cardwell for morning tea. We stopped here last year and Rob enjoyed a crab cake at the famous seafront cafĂ©/deli. When we arrived it was very busy due to an intra-state coach that had recently arrived. We enjoyed a coffee but unfortunately there were no crab cakes so Rob had to settle with a fish cake instead. On the road again we made reasonable time to arrive at Millaa Millaa by lunchtime. It has been raining on and off for several days here so everything was damp underfoot. The nearby waterfalls should be flowing and cascading. The park is set in a beautiful botanic rainforest. Rob spent the afternoon playing 9 holes of golf at the course which is next to the caravan park, while I did some jobs around the van, so
me reading and some future planning.
