Thursday 24th August Bargara Breeze Holiday Park

We had about a ten minute drive to our next caravan park today. Originally we intended to stay 3 nights near Bundaberg but could only book into Burnett Heads for 2 nights as the park was full and very busy. (I had tried to book this park more than 2 weeks ago.) We decided to book into the nearby, Bargara Park just for one night. We didn’t hurry to leave Burnett Heads but had to be out by 10am. and as we couldn’t get into our next park until 12 midday, we decided to drive into the main streets of Bundaberg to look around and  visit the chemist and Dan Murphy’s for some more drinks etc. We had to park quite a distance from the main street but it didn’t matter and we enjoyed checking out the shops and stopping for coffee. Soon it was time to head to our new caravan park located on the coast a little south of Burnett heads. We quickly set up, visited the nearby shopping centre to do some grocery shopping and then returned to the van for lunch. Rob spent the afternoon playing golf at the Bargara Golf Club while I enjoyed a lovely, long walk along the esplanade. There was much to see and do along the esplanade, with great playgrounds, many BBQs, shelters, fitness equipment etc.
