Today we had planned a very different day to our normal holiday activities. With more rain predicted we decided not to venture out to the reef. (At our age we need perfect conditions for boating and snorkelling.J) Rob and I were hoping to see the new Mission Impossible movie before it left the theatres so we checked out the nearest theatre showing the movie and headed there. The Event Theatres were located in a very large, and by appearances, quite new shopping centre. We arrived early for the movie and spent a few hours wandering around the shops and having some lunch. Rob even managed to find a couple of clothing bargains. We were so glad we saw the movie on the big screen and both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. It was in one of the larger theatres at the centre but there were only four us viewing the movie. Returning to the caravan, I went for a walk and took a few photos. The location of the park is quite stunning with beautiful lush tropical rainforest and mountains all around us. Being only 20 minutes from the heart of Cairns, it is really ideal.
