Another calm and warm day greeted us. Pat and I decided to go on a historical walk around Yungaburra. We had a map and an information pamphlet that gave us short, general history about the various places that were well marked on the route. Funnily enough Rob decided that he needed to do jobs around the caravan. Following our walk, we phoned Rob and met him at the Whistle Stop Café for coffee. From here we headed out to a beautiful but somewhat remote spot on Lake Tinaroo called “Fong-On Bay”. The road in was a pretty rough and we were a little surprised at the large number of groups of people camping here with boats, kayaks, jet-ski, etc. The lake was quite beautiful, calm etc. and I decided to kayak. Rob and Pat waited patiently while I had a wonderful kayak, enjoying the beautiful calm waters and the stunning water- lilies and gorgeous scenery. Rob had packed a lovely picnic lunch which we enjoyed. Once we had returned to Yungaburra we headed out to the Shaylea Strawberry Café for strawberries, ice-cream. (Well we deserved it!) We returned to the park and have decided to go out to the local pub for dinner.
